Match Format

Boys and girls team will be combined for scoring.

Each match will consist of 18 total matches (12 singles and 6 doubles matches).

Singles matches will be two sets with a match tie break for the third set.

Doubles matches will be an eight game pro set with a set tie break at 7 all with no ad scoring.

Each singles match and doubles match including mixed doubles will count for (1) point.

There are 18 points available for each combined match.  If there is a tie in the number of matches won, coach from each team will designate a mixed doubles team to play a ten-point tie break to declare a winner.

 

Ranking Information

All matches in this event will count for national rankings (excluding mixed doubles).  This event will count as a level two tournament and players will receive participation points.

 

Coaching: Section designated coaches will be allowed to coach at all times as long as it does not disrupt play (college style).

 

Officiating

Play will be subject to the rules of the USTA. The USTA Point Penalty will be in effect throughout the tournament.  Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.  There will be USTA Certified Umpires at the sites.

 

In Case of Rain

All team coaches will be notified of any court/time changes due to inclement weather.  It is the responsibility of the coaches to inform members of their teams of any changes.

 

Stringing

All racquets can be dropped off and picked up at the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center. Racquets will be done in a first-come, first-serve basis.  If you have any questions about stringing

Practice Courts

There are 12 outdoor courts at the tennis complex and 8 indoor courts. Please call the front desk to reserve ALL courts.  All practice times will end on Wednesday evening. Alternate pratice sites are available under location tab.

 

Rules

Incompliance with NCAA rules and USTA Junior Competition, no alcohol or any tobacco products are allowed on site or adjacent to the parking lots.
